The provided column graph shows the outcome of a survey of 1000 adolescents that was conducted in five different countries about their beliefs regarding the age of responsibility of marriage, voting, and criminal rights. At a glance, the graph illustrates that the majority of adolescents of each country believe that the responsibilities should not be granted until they turn 14.
Observing the details, it can be inferred that adolescents of every country believe that they should have the rights of marriage and voting between the age of 15 to 20, with the exception of UK and Japan. British adolescents agreed that they should allow to marry at the age of 18; whereas, the best age of voting for them is 16; moreover, respondents of Japan state that the best age of marriage should 22, and 20 for voting. On the contrary, both USA and Mexico want their voting rights and family responsibility at the ages of 18 and 16 respectively. Furthermore, Egyptian agreed that the marital rights should be granted just after they pass 16, but citizen responsibility should be allowed 1 year after marital rights when they reach 17.
In accordance with the prosecution of crime, British and Mexicans believe that someone should be charged by the law of committing a crime when they became sixteen years old; whilst Egyptians opine that they should be punished after 14. On the other hand, 18 should be the right age to get punish for their for criminal offenses; whereas, USA respondents opine that they should not be punished by the law of any misdeeds before 12.
From the given illustration, it can be summarized that every country adolescent takes any responsibility regarding family, voting and criminal responsibility between the ages of 14 to 18; however, Japan is the only country where mentioned responsibility is started from 18.
