The charts below show the percentage of water used for different purposes in six areas of the world.

The illustrated pie charts stipulate the information about the water consumption across different countries namely North and South America, Europe, Africa, central and South East Asia for several purposes. At a first glance, proportion of agricultural usage outnumbered other usage in mentioned countries with the exception of Europe and North America where Industrial usage are leading in utilizing water resources.

To be more specific, as can be seen In the charts, four out of six countries water is perceptibly used for fertilization of crops, where significantly central Asia is used 88% of water, and usage in south-east accounted 81% , second most leading country to use water for irrigation. Moreover, South America and Africa is utilized 71% and 84% respectively. Noticeably, In European region, 50% of water is consumed in industrial sector rather than agricultural that utilize 32%. This is particularly true for North America as well, where 48% accounted for industrial usage while 39% for forming. In addition, In central Asia, utilization of water for industrial usage is markedly low approximately 5%; whilst, Africa, south east Asia, and south America accounted 7%, 12% and 10%, respectively.

In terms of household usage of water, each mentioned courtiers share less than 20% of water utilization. While central Asia and East Asia have fewer percent of usage as a domestic purpose than others, accounted 7%.
