You recently received a letter from a friend asking for advice about whether to
go to college or to try to get a job. You think he/she should get a job.
Write a letter to this friend. In your letter
• say why he/she would not enjoy going to college
• explain why getting a job is a good idea for him/her
• suggest types of job that would be suitable for him/her
Dear Sara,
How have you been?. It has been a long time since we last met. I received your letter and I am happy that you completed your graduation and are seeking an advice on whether to go for a post-graduation or start working.
I can understand that this is a very critical juncture in your life and choosing one over another can have implications for your future. In my opinion going to college is not a good idea, as it will not add new experience to your resume moreover you have just completed your tertiary education, I believe going to college again will make you feel bored, hence you should work as you will meet a different set of people in a new environment which will enable you to gain exposure and experience.
By doing this you chances of getting admittance to a reputed college will increase as they give preference to candidates who have a work experience.
Hope you take my advice seriously and I look forward to seeing you soon.
Warm wishes
vinshu
