The given bar chart illustrates the number of telephones owned per thousand of the population in different countries over a five-year period from 2000 to 2004.
Overall, It can be seen that there are many different trends in landline telephone ownership. The trend in Singarpore was always the highest in this area from 2000 to 2004. By contrast, cambodia, indonesia, lao pdr and myanmar were in the group which is the lowest number of landline telephone ownership.
From 2000 to 2004, Vietnam, Thailand and Philippines witnessed a steadily increase in the number of landline telephones, with nearly 50,90 and 100 respectively.The trend in landline telephone ownership in Brunei Darussalam also experienced a slightly decrease at about 225 in 2004 While that figure in Singapore reached a peaked at over 450.
Besides, The lowest number of ownership group including cambodia, indonesia, lao pdr and myanmar saw a slowly decline in the period from 2000 to 2004. cambodia's landline telephone ownership grew steadily to exactly 50 in 2004. Especially, there was no one using landline telephone in indonesia and lao pdr in 2000. Luckily,in 2002 and 2004 there was a small upward in that figure in indonesia and lao pdr, with over 25 and 10 respectively.
