The bar graph illustrates incident and injury rates per 100 million passenger miles travelled according to types of transportation in 2002.
Overall, most of the accidents and injuries occurred in demand response vehicles while commuter rail vehicles had the least figures.
In the graph, it can be seen that demand response vehicles by far the greatest figures with just over 250 incidents and approximately 175 injuries per 100 million passenger miles travelled while commuter rail vehicles had the least units with around 25 incidents and 20 injuries in 2002.
When it comes bus's and light rail's figures, it is obvious that they have the same incident numbers with almost 75. However, number of injuries which happened on light rail significantly smaller than bus's figures (40 and 70 respectively). Also, it can be said that heavy rail second safest transportation with 50 incidents and 40 injuries.
