the graph illustrates the frequency of visiting fast food restaurants of American people over the course of 10 years starting from 2003.
Overall, it is immediately clear that once a week and once or twice a month were the two most popular choices among the given categories. By contrast, the opposite was true for everyday choice.
Looking at the graph in detail, in 2003, the American usually went to fast food eateries once a week or once or twice a month, at around 30%. The figures for two categories witnessed an opposite trend over the rest of the period. More specifically, once a week increased gradually to 33% then declined to 27% in 2013, while its counterpart experienced a decrease of 5% in 2006 and recovered to reach a peak at exactly the point of once a week in 2006.
Out of the remaining categories, the percentages of several times a week fluctuated from around 16% to 20% during 10 years. A few times a year witnessed a steady increase from 12% to 15%, whereas the proportions of every day and never went down with always less than 5% over the period.
