The pie charts compares the percentage of annual expenditure by a certain UK school in three years, 1981, 1991, 2001.
Overall, teachers salaries’ made up the largest proportion in total spending in all three given years. In addition, while school tended to spend more money in insurance and furniture and equipment, there was a decreasing trend in the percentage of others.
In 1981, teachers salaries’ with 40%, was ranked in the first position, followed by other workers’ salaries with 28% of the total amount school spent on. While resources and furniture was similar, reaching 15% in the starting year, the figure for insurance was only 2%.
Teachers salaries experienced an increasing variation in its proportion, hitting a peak of a half in the year 1991, and ended the period with 45%. Whereas there was a significant decline in the percentage of money on other workers salaries and resources to 15% and 9%, respectively, the school had seen a considerable rise in that of furniture and equipment with 23% in 2001. Additionally it is noticeable that the greatest difference can be seen for insurance when its proportion rocketed and quadrupled that in 1981 with 8%.
