Dear Emily,
Hope you are enjoying your vacations in Singapore. I am horrified to tell you about the storm that hit the city last night and it even damaged some items of your apartment.
I can feel how awful it is to come to know about the damage especially when you are enjoying your holidays. It was midnight when I was sleeping downstairs when this storm hit the apartment, despite the weather report which was showing a clear day. Unfortunately, it has broken one of the glass windows of the house from which the rainwater ran inside and damaged a part of floor carpet mostly the corner near the window.
You not to have worried as I tried my best to handle the situation by removing all the broken glass pieces from the floor and also tried to dry out the carpet but could not get success. In addition to this, I also called the serviceman to replace the window glass. When you come back, we will go to the market to buy a new floor carpet for you.
See you soon. Take care.
Best wishes,
Tarun
