You recently attended a course in another country but had to leave the course to return back to your country. Write a letter to your teacher.
In the letter, you should:
thank him/her
tell them your situation
Explain them what you liked about their lecture
Dear Mr. Khan,
I am writing this letter to explain the reason for leaving the course early.
To begin with, I would like to express my gratitude for your assistance and guidance during the course. Without your help, significant improvements in my skills, such as skimming, scanning, and proof reading, would not have been possible.
The cause of leaving the classes was unavoidable. As you knew that my father was ill, he suffered from cardiac arrest that day. I cannot even explain how worried I was feeling at that time. Therefore, I rushed to the airport and bought a ticket of the very next flight to my country. Although he is out of danger, he is still under critical observation. Under these circumstances, I would prefer to stay with my family.
Anyways, there are not a few traits that I like about your lecture but several qualities make it distinctive. Firstly, your ability of explaining any concept numerous times with feeling frustrated. You also have the ability to involve your students and compel them to participate and your confidence to speak fluently will always be my inspiration.
I hope that you would understand the situation and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours sincerely,
Salman Khan
