Overall, it is clear that the trend for population increased in all given cities from 1970 to 2010. Whereas, Tokyo had the highest population throughout the period while Jakarta had the lowest one. We can see the drastic changes in Bombay during the 40 years of period.
As the graph shows, In terms of Tokyo, the figure for the population accounted for about 16 millions that increased by 10 million which was the highest figure of population over the period as well as other than four cities. Regarding New York, it had only under 15 billion humans but there was gradual increase untill 2010 to 17 million people. The number of people for Shanghai stood at 12 million by following 20 years it rose slightly with 1 million before experiencing an accelerate the population ended up above 20 million in 2010.
According to Bombay, only 5 millions dwellers lived but the trend for the population rocketed to 26 million which was slight lower than Tokyo in 2010. Lastly, the figure number of population accounted for about 3 million in 1970 compared with 9 million in 1990 and 19 million in 2010
