The table below shows social and economic indicators for four countries in 1994
The graph compares Canada, Japan, Peru and Angola in terms of living standard indicators, namely yearly earning per person, average age, daily calorie supplying per person and literacy rate in the year 1994.
Overall, Canada and Japan citizens occupied better living standards with figures of all four categories were higher than that of Peru and Angola citizens. Angola registered the lowest indexes in all of given indicators among the nations compared in the table.
Japan and Canada had the same index of adult literacy rate, at 99%. However, average earning and life expectancy at birth of Japaneses were slightly higher than Canadians, with 15760 US dollars and 78 years compares to 11100 US dollars and 76 years, respectively. Daily calorie consumption of a Canadian with 3326 calories was much higher than that of a resident in other countries, in a doubling figure compares to an Angola’citizen with 1749 calories.
Angola had the lowest figures in the given indicators, with 130 US dollars in average yearly income, 47 years in average age and only 34 in 100 persons were literate. Peru‘adult literacy rate was twice as high as Angola’with 68%.
