The table below shows the proportion of different categories of families living in poverty in Australia in 1999.
The table provides sufficient information about the percent and the number of six various groups of Australian families who were living in poverty in the year 1999. Overall, as it can be seen there was 11 percent about 1.8 million people were living in poverty and the maximum proportion was for sale parent by a little more than 20%.
As is given in the table, the minimum proportions of households ,who where living in the poverty, were for aged couple and single aged couple by 4%(just under 50000) and 6% (just over 54000) respectively. On the other hand, there was the largest number that assigned to sole parent by just over one-fifth equal to almost 230000 families. This is noticable that, the other shares were single people without any children by 19%(around 350000), couple-no children by exactly 7%(almost 200000), and couple with at least one children by 12%(roughly 900000) in Australia, in the year 1999.
