Last month you had a holiday overseas where you stayed with some friends. They have just sent you some photos of your holiday.
Write a letter to your friends. In your letter
• thank them for the photos and for the holiday
• explain why you didn’t write earlier
• invite them to come and stay with you
Dear Mary and Monica,
Thank you so much for sending me those fantastic photos of our holiday in Bali. Honestly, it was the most memorable holiday with you guys. I absolutely enjoyed every moment there. All those road trips when we went to see sightseeings and these nice relaxing moments on the beach while we got tanned. Oh, and I still can't hold myself back laughing about those monkeys who came to pull Monica's glasses off, luckily we got them later back.
Anyway, it's really hard to be back after being three weeks away. I have been so busy with work to catch up everything that I haven't even find time to write to you. I'm really glad to keep those photos as a memory and will probably print some off and put them on my wall.
I actually miss you a lot and was wondering maybe you would like to come to Australia to my place for a week or two and I could show you around Melbourne? Let me know what you think.
Hoping to see you soon,
Victoria
