For male readers, the number of books rose dramatically to 10000 books, an increase of roughly 7000 books in 2013. Furthermore, 2013 also witnessed a gradual increase in books read by women and reached the highest point at 10000 which was the same as that of their counterpart readers. From then on, the number of books read by males kept increasing and hit more than 14000 books in the final year. Likewise, their counterparts showed less interest in books with a slight decline of roughly 2000 books in the same year.
