You recently stayed in a hotel in a large city. The weather was very unusual for the time of year and the heating / cooling system in the hotel was quite inadequate.
Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter:
give details of what went wrong
explain what you had to do to overcome the problem at the time
say what action you would like the manager to take
Dear Sir / Madam,
I am writing this letter to express my complaint with stay at your hotel in New York city. I am Sam Williams and my booking ID: CHW5809B. I recently visited New York for a business conference and was checked in from 26th February to 28th February. During my stay I had issue with faulty air-conditioned. The climate was particularly hot and moist which was unexpected for that season which made the stay appalling.
As the cooling system was not working, I had to contact the reception and the front-desk mentioned that they will be updating me within 5 minutes. An hour later, I got a call from them stating the service engineer would be available next morning. As a result, I opened the window for fresh air and all the flying insect entered the room because of which I was not able to sleep the entire night.
I find this highly unacceptable. Rooms should have proper air conditioners and if in case there is an issue it should be rectified at earliest. I would like the payment for my stay to be refunded and assurance that such kind of inconvenience is not faced by anyone.
If you wish to discuss this matter further, please feel free to contact to me. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Sam Williams
