The pie charts illustrates the percentage of the internet shopping sales in 4 retail sectors in 2005 and 2010 in Canada.
Overall, there were an increase in the online sales in food & beverage sector and video games sector from 2005 to 2010. Whereas, home furnishings and electronics & appliance saw a decrease in the internet sales over the observed period.
In 2005, video games accounted for 18% of their online shopping sales, which was slightly lower than that of food & beverage with 22%. over the period of 5 year, the online sales for food and beverage sector increased by 10%, which was double those for video games wih 5%.
The internet shopping sales for home furnishing decreased from 25% in 2005 to 15% in 2010. there was the same trend in the proportion of those for electronics & appliance sector. It accounted for the largest proportion in 2005 with 35% then dropped to 30% in 2010.
