Overall, the genre ‘Thriller’ is the category which has won many Oscar awards and ‘Comedy’ genre is categorized as the least winning Oscars awards in the year 2003. In comparison, at the end of the period, there was a slight decline of Oscar winners in Thriller Category but still, it has the most winning awards and Comedy genre is marked as the least winning awards in Oscars.
Thriller films accounted for around 40% in 2003 and experienced a dip in the same genre in the year 2008. It was found there was a slight increase in winning Oscar awards for the genres Action, Science Fiction and Documentary, in the year 2008. However, it was also found that there was a slender fall of approximately 2% in Horror movies in the period 2008, which has a percentage of 5% in the year 2008. And lastly, Comedy remains the same in the year 2003 and 2008.
