Overall, it is clear that the sales had a dramatic increasing trend over the years, in which the sedans accounted for the major part of all the pie charts. In contrast, the number of the SVUs were maintained in the smallest sector in all the mentioned years.
In the 1984-1993 period, Australian residents witnessed an increasing trend of the new car sales from 32000 to 44000, in which the percentage of the sedans was 55% in 1984 decreased to 50% in 1993. Nevertheless, the percentage of the SVUs was 19% in 1984, had a slight rise to 21% in 1993. Likewise, the number of the others accounted for 26% in 1984, compared to that of 1993, at 29%.
After 10 years, in 2013, the sales of the Sedans rapidly grew up 57%, which was higher than ten years before by 7%. However, the sales of the SVUs and others had minute decreases, in which the figure of the SUVs dropped by 5% and that of the others decreased by 2%.
