Should education institutions really encourage their students to choose a field of study with lot of job opportunities? If yes, then why? Some would argue that education institution should encourage their students to pursue courses which will provide tremendous job opportunities, whilst other might say that institutions should not only encourage their students to choose fields of study with enormous job opportunities but the fields which they really like. After weighing evidences and considering all the aspects, it seems that there are greater advantages if educational institutes encourage students to choose fields of study which have a plethora of jobs.
Lets us consider the example of information technology. There is an abundance of jobs in this field. If educational institutions encourages students to pursue these fields, the students will be well placed and will have an efficient livelihood. For examples, there are lot of companies in IT sector, such as Facebook, Google and Microsoft and lot more which offers lots of jobs and pay-scale in these IT companies is also good. If educational institutions do not encourage to pursue studies in this field then students may end up being taking a field of study such as art which doesn't really have much jobs and students may end up living a miser and stingy life.
Similar to above example of information technology, let us consider the example of field of music, drama and movies. This field also offers a plenty of jobs as well as fame. People who works in this area are generally rich and prosper. Luxury and opulence are slaves of these people. If educational institution encourages there students to take courses in this area that only means that education institution are taking care of students future. They are simply trying to make students future better and brighter.
Some would argue that students should not only be encouraged to choose a field of study which has plenitude of jobs but also the fields which students really like. Such people might cite the examples of some of the great people who chose their interests over money and got international recognition because of there great work. These people might bolster their argument by
providing example of famous Indian poet Kumar Viswas who left engineering because he was very much possessed by becoming a poet. These people might further say that if students do not choose a field of study which has a lot of jobs then students may to live their life in utter stinginess and penny-pinching.
In conclusion, while there are aspects to be considered on both sides of the issue it is clear from the aforementioned reasons that there are more benefits if the students pursue a field of study which has a lot of job opportunities. If pupils are encouraged by educational institution to study in such a field, there life be better and they will be earning a lot of money.
