The maps below show the changes that have taken place at the waterfront area of a town called Darwin between 2009 and 2014.
The maps give information about the changing of the waterfront area of Darwin town from 2009 to 2014.
Overall, there were some facilities added in this area and the most significant change is the replacement of green spaces in the industrial zones.
In 2009, there were two industrial areas at the center of the waterfront, which were separated by three blocks of residential and the footpath. After five years, this area was obliterated to make room for covering by a lot of trees. The larger side of the old industrial buildings and there was a new university building was constructed. On the smaller side, a part of the old area was converted into a swimming pool while the school convention centre and two former swimming fool pool remained unchanged.
In addition, the changes involve the improvement of transport infrastructure. There was a newly built harbor on the seashore and a footpath to connect the harbor with the main road in the west of the town. In contrast, the footpath which encircles the centre of the town was untouched.
