You and your family are living in rented accommodation in an English speaking country. You are not satisfied with the condition of some of the furniture.
Write a letter to your landlord. In your letter
introduce yourself
explain what is wrong with the furniture
say what action you would like the landlord to take
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am Sanjay Yemula, one of your tenants, and writing this to complain about some of the furniture in our apartment. It would be better if they are replaced.
To explain more about the damaged furniture, the sofa and the laptop table are actually a bit damaged. One of the supporting legs of the couch is actually broken and it is losing the balance when we sit on it. In addition to this, the desk which is in the living room is also having a crack in the middle and we are afraid that it may break at any time. This is the major concern that I have regarding the furniture.
I would be glad if this damaged furniture is replaced with the ones in good condition, and it would be better if you arrange a new table and sofa. I hope you would consider my request as it is causing so much inconvenience for us when we have guests visiting us.
Thank you so much for your time, and I would be happy to hear a response from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Sanjay Y
