The pie charts compare the distribution of employment in differents sectors in town A and town B in two years 1960 and 2010.
Overall, an increase the proportion of people having a services-related job had been seen in town A whereas although town B registered a downward trend of the percentage of manufacturing, this sectors still appealed most citizens both in 1960 and in 2010.
Looking at town A, we can see that in 1960, the percentage of people working in manufacturing sector is 41%, while the figures for sales and services are lower with 30% and 29%, respectively. However, there was a significant change in the sharing workers in these sectors that services-related job became the most popular choice for job seekers, which hold 64% while manufacturing and sales sectors seemed less attractive with citizen due to decline trends of these areas that were 20% and 16%, accordingly.
In town B, it was obvious that people prefered manufacturing jobs than sales and services ones because in 1960, sales and services sectors just accounted for 20% and 10%, respectively while the proportion of manufacturing was far more significant whose figure was 70%. In 2010, there was a slightly change in all three sectors, however, manufacturing still accounted for the largest percentage with 53% whereas both others are lower with sales hold 22% and services hold 25%.
