You read an article in a newspaper about a city/town. Some of the information in that article is wrong. Write a letter to the newspaper editions.
In your letter, you should:
• describe how you know the city/town
• tell what the problems are
• suggest what you want the editor to do.
I am writing concerning the article in your newspaper displaying incorrect information about the famous city of India called 'Chandigarh'. Actually I am pursuing my master's in history and I published my research paper fully concentrated on this historical city, where I got to know enough about its evolution.
Even though your article was very informative describing great facts about Chandigarh city in a very, I would like to point out one mistake regarding the original name of this city. Your paper says that it has an original name as 'Chand', whereas my research has found that the starting name of the city was 'Rose' instead of 'Chand', and I confirmed it from reliable sources from the public library. Besides, the establishment year was 1877, which was 1888 in your article.
I would like to suggest that you might publish the same article again but with corrected information and it would be grateful if you conform to facts about the topic you are going to publish in the paper. The genuine and correct knowledge from your paper would enhance the reliability and reputation of your organization.
Thank you for your consideration.
Yours faithfully,
