You recently received a letter from your bank that should have contained a new credit card. Unfortunately, the card was not in the letter.
Write a letter to your bank manager. In your letter,
explain what happened
suggest that the credit card should be cancelled for security reasons
ask when a new credit card can be sent
Dear Sir / Madam,
This letter is to express my utmost disappointment with regards to the service I have received from your bank. I visited your main branch office to apply for a new credit card and filled out all the necessary application forms. I was assured that I will receive my new credit card via post in a week’s time.
Two weeks passed but still did not receive it. I made several follow ups via telephone and email but all I got was a standard answer that it was under processing. Finally today, I received the package but to my horror the envelop was empty. I am now very frustrated as this has put me in a lot of inconvenience. I am unable to pay for my expenses and most importantly get a credit for my purchases. I now need to rely on cash which is not the ideal thing to do.
I need you to have this matter investigated at the earliest. I expect an explanation as to what happened here and most importantly what will be done to rectify this matter. This is not the kind of service I expected to receive from such a reputable bank. I expect to be compensated for the inconvenience this matter has caused. For starters please cancel the new card to ensure it is not misused and that I do not suffer any financial loss.
I expect to receive a new credit card as soon as possible by express courier. I hope I do not have to visit the bank again to complete any application forms. I look forward to you reply at the earliest.
Regards
Tom A Frank
