You recently bought a piece of equipment for your kitchen but it did not work. You phoned the shop but no action was taken.
Write a letter to the shop manager. In your letter,
- describe the problem with the equipment
- explain what happened when you phoned the shop
- say what you would like the manager to do
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with a microwave I recently bought from your store at Jurong Mall branch.
I bought this 40 litre Panasonic microwave which doesn't function at all. When I plug it to power socket and turn on, a buzzer sounds and the microwave powers down at once. I read about this issue in the user guide that comes with the box, it points out that there is some issue with "Power Supply" module and I should contact the retail store.
I am especially discontent with the customer service of your store. At first, nobody would pick up the call. I had call at least 50 times before a lady named Joannah received the call. I explained her about the microwave issue and she told me it is not possible to replace the microwave. I was shocked how unprofessionally she behaved by hanging up the call abruptly.
I had no other choice but to write to you as nobody else is ready to help. I am aware of the fact that your store has a great track record of selling quality kitchen equipment and customer-friendly services. I hope you will help me by replacing the microwave or provide refund in case the replacement is not available. I also hope that you will talk to Joannhah to attend the calls quickly and to behave professionally with customers.
Thank you for you kind attention to the matter and I hope to hear from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Ashfaq Memeon
