The table below illustrates thr number of people who visited the Ashdown museum before and after redevelopment of the museum and the charts shows the satisfaction rates of the people who went to the museum.
Overall, it can be seen that, the number of people who visited the museum increased after refurbishment. Prior to redevelopment, a larger number people expressed dissatisfaction with their visit.
To begin, in the year before renovation total visitor numbers stood at 74,000. Exactly half of those visitors were very dissatisfied and dissatisfied, with 10% and 40%, respectively. Only less than a fifth of the people were very satisfies before refurbishment and this figure doubled in the case of satisfied people(30%). 5% of the people did not responded to the survey before renovation, and this figure remained the same after refurbishment too.
With regards to the year after work was carried out, there was an extra 18000 visitors totalling 92000. The proportion of very satisfied and satisfied visitors rose to 35% and 40%, respectively. Also, surprisingly after redevelopment the percentage of dissatisfied and very dissatisfied people declined to 15% and 5%, respectively.
