You recently went shopping at the local supermarket. When you got home and noticed your bill, you found that you had been charged for items you did not purchase.
Write a letter to the supermarket manager explaining what has happened. Tell the manager how you feel about the error and tell the manager what you would like him/her to do about it.
Write at least 150 words.
Dear Mr Smith,
Last Sunday, I purchased grocery items from your store; after reaching home, I realised I had been charged for the supplies, which I did not get. As you know, I have been purchasing from your store for the last five years, and I am vegetarian. Nevertheless, the bill shows the receipt of eggs and chicken, amounting to 350 Rupees.
As it was weekend rush, the billing person might have made some mistake by adding someone else purchases to my bill. Since last few months, there have been many cases of a clerical error at your end. I feel annoyed to complain you every time personally. You must get someone responsible for that job, or improve the billing system by putting bar code scanners.
You can verify that by checking video footage captured in the camera above the cashier. I request you to grant me a discount of the same amount for my next purchase concerning my bill.
I expect your cooperation in this matter.
Yours faithfully,
Shreyas Parab
