You have just moved into a new home and are planning to hold a party. You are worried that the noise may disturb your neighbour.
Write a letter to your neighbour. In your letter
introduce yourself
describe your plans for the party
invite your neighbour to come
Dear Ann,
My name is Lilian Okoye and I am your new next door neighbour. I moved in two days ago into the neighbourhood. I am writing this letter to inform you about my scheduled house warming party fixed for next Saturday, 26th November as I would really love for you to attend.
It is a special occasion with my close friends and relatives to celebrate my new home. There party will commence by 8pm and continue till midnight. There will be lots of music and dancing and a local music band will be performing. Dessert will be served at 8pm after the performance in the garden.
I initially wanted to invite you over the phone but I considered that it’d be more appropriate to write you a letter of invitation. This would be a perfect opportunity to get acquainted with you so please make out time to attend. However, if you can’t, we could schedule another time to meet and greet. Although, I am a bit worried about the noise that would come from the party and I apologize in advance for any inconveniences this might cause.
I would be genuinely pleased if you could accept my invitation and I look forward to seeing you.
Yours sincerely,
Faith.
