The graph gives information about coffee production in 4 different countries from 1990 to 2010.
The bar chart illustrates the production of coffee in Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, and Vietnam between 1990 and 2010. Units are measured in million tonnes.
Overall, it is clear that coffee production experienced an upward trend in all countries, except for Colombia which recorded a gradual drop throughout the period. In particular, Brazil was the largest coffee producer compared to the three remaining nations.
In 1990, Brazil registered the highest amount of coffee produced, accounted for nearly 0.7 million tonnes, followed by the second largest producing country which is Colombia, at 0.7 million tonnes. Indonesia and Vietnam produced significantly lower than these two areas, at 0.2 million tonnes and 0.1 million tonnes respectively.
In 2010, there was an exponential increase of 1.2 million tonnes in Brazil's coffee production. Similarly, Indonesia and Vietnam rose progressively by 0.4 million tonnes and 0.3 million tonnes in turn. By contrast, Colombia showed a steady decline until it had the same figure as Vietnam, which is 0.3 million tonnes in 2010.
