Overall, more and more women paid attention to higher education throughout the given period.
In general, after 35 years from 1980, there was a rapid increase in the number and the portion of female school-leavers attending higher educational courses. Apart from South Korea, all four remain countries witnessed a high percentage, which was over 50% in 2015. Both Australia and the USA reached the highest percentage, which is around 58% while the UK and France stood at the proportions of about 55% and 54% respectively, which were slightly lower.
Compared with the other countries, Australia remained unchangeable in the percentage of female school-leavers going into higher education during the period between 1980 and 2015. Furthermore, despite the slowest increase, South Korea witnessed the two-folded figure in 2015 when compared with that in 1980, which was exactly 30% and about 15% respectively.
