The table gives information about the percentage of mobile phone owners using various mobile phone features
The table compares different utilities on smartphones from 2006 to 2010
Overall, it was making calls that was the most popular feature on smartphones, however, it was the only function that saw a decline in its usage. All other figures had an upward trend generally, and the data of searching the Internet and recording video in 2006 were unknown
Remarkably, people use mobile phones mainly for calling in all three years, with the highest proportion of 100%, but a small drop of 1% in the final year. Mobile phones in 2006 were also used widely for taking photos as well as sending and receiving text messages with the percentage of 66% and 73%, respectively. However, while the feature of taking photos witnessed an increase of 10%, it was only 6% for the other.
Games have apparently caught a lot of attention of phones owners, while there was a nearly fourfold surge in their uses, from 17% to 41%. Furthermore, although both searching the Internet and playing music were recorded with zero data in the beginning year, the use of the Internet doubled that of filming videos in 2010, which was almost 50% ( 73% and 35% respectively ). Finally, throughout the period playing music was seen with a twofold increase from 12% to 26%
