The line graph illustrates the amount of emitted carbon dioxide each person in four various countries produced from 1967 to 2007.
Overall, United Kingdom has accounted the highest figure of carbon dioxide emissions among other regions throughout four decades; conversely, Portugal has shown a steady rise through 40-year period, which stayed at the lowest proportion once again.
According to the graph, CO2 emissions per person in the UK starting from almost 11 metric tonnes in 1967 and steadily decreasing to around 8 metric tonnes in 2007. In 1967, average carbon dioxide radiation that each person in Italy and Sweden were responsible for starting from approximately 4 and 8 metric tonnes, respectively; then have sharply changed in the year 1977. Italy has been significantly doubled to almost 8 metric tonnes in 1977, and stayed at the same level till 2007. However, Sweden showed a complete an opposite rate, that was sharply dropped to less than 6 tons in 2007. Finally, each person in Portugal only presents minor proportion of CO2 in 1967 into the atmosphere, while this number increased to 5.5 metric tonnes in 2007.
