the maps show changes that took place in Felixstone from 1967 to 2001
The two maps illustrate how the facilities in Felixstone have been changed over the period of nearly 4 decades from the opening in 1967 to 2021.
As can be seen from the pictures, the infrastructure in an area near the beach has been dramatically transformed after the construction of several upgraded facilities over the given period.
In 1967, to the east of the area where the sea is there was previously a fishing industry, with a fishing market and Marina pier as well. On the left side, there was a huge main building and a cafe adjacent to the beach. On the other side of the road by 2 two lines of four shops which are located on the right side of the Golf course. Looking over the opposite side of the road, the hotel and dunes are located in the bottom left corner.
Turning to the 2001 day map, visitors could access farmland in the northeast. However, now they can stay in an upscale hotel which includes a swimming pool and 2 tennis courts. Looking over the opposite side of the road, both the fish market and Marina pier for the community were removed to the left area. In place of that, this area was used for the private beach instead. One dune near the beach was replaced with wind turbines, and the car park was established along the west road.
