You are planning a short visit to a city where one of your relatives lives.
Write a letter to your relative. In your letter:
• Explain when and how long you will be in town.
• Ask whether you can stay at their home.
• Offer to pay for yourself.
Dear Aunt,
As you know that my board exam got over few days back and now it's time for me to relax and plan my holiday accordingly. I am planning to make a short trip to your home in order to meet the family members and also to explore the city with my cousins.
I am thinking to catch the flight on next Monday morning and return on next-to-next Tuesday afternoon flight. I guess, this would be great to have a wonderful get-together with all of you.
I would like to request if you can allow me to stay at your home during those 7 days journey. Then it would be convenient for me as it saves time and money both. Also, this ensures security while out of home and my parents can stay relaxed as I will be traveling solo for the 1st time.
Since, I will be staying at your home, on behalf of my parents I would like to pay for myself for these 7 days. Requesting you to accept the same.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
SN
