In general,the spending on teachers’ salaries topped the list in three years. The total number of spending of insurance by school was smallest of all from 1981 to 2001. However,the spending in teachers’ salaries declined,while other ways of spending increase such as furniture and equipment.
In all three years,expenditure on staff salaries dominated all the salaries. Other workers’ incomes saw a fall from 22 percent in1981 to 28 percent in 1991,followed by a drop of 7 percent in 2001. By contrast,the wages of teachers rose from 40 percent in 1981 to 50
Percent in 1991 before it decreased by 5 percent in the next decade.
The expenditure on resources such as books dropped by 6 percent from 1981 to 1991 and then declined to the bottom at 9 percent in 2001. While the expenditure on furniture and equipment had a different trend,which there was a decrease from 15 percent in 1981 to 5 percent in 1991 but then surged to 23 percent during the next 10 years. The expenditure on insurance saw a constantly rise,which grew from 2 percent in 1981 to 8 percent in 2001.
