The graph below gives the results of a survey showing what 1000 young people did after leaving school between 2008 and 2012

The bar chart demonstrates the survey report of 1000 youngsters activities after graduating from school in 2008-2012.

Overall, the majority of graduates were initially in search of job, but it showed some changes throughout the period, having similar trend to those enrolling University. Also, youngsters taking a gap year decreased.

In 2008, the number of people graduated from school and looked for work was 500 people, and the one of those continued to take a temporary break from education and study at University accounted 200 and 300 graduates respectively. By 2012, the former figure had a plummet to around 370, while the latter one had presented the reverse, a rise of approximately 100 people, and the rest group had stagnated to the initial number, 300 people.

There was a significant downwards to 400 in the number of young people getting into workforce in 2009 before it dropped again and levelled off to just above 300 between 2010 and 2011. However, a contradictive trend was seen in the one of those wanting to give themselves a gap year, increasing gradually from 250 to 300 people in that period. The number of graduates enrolling University immidiately accounted for upwards by 50 people, but then dropped to just below 400.
