Both reading and lecture taking about some employees need to work 4 days per week instead of 5 days per week.
First, the reading states that the companies that give chance to their employees to work four days instead of five days with just 80 percent of their salary, they can increase their profits due to employees could feeel relaxed and more aware. However the professor refutes this idea by saying that the companies will spend more and alot of money to hire employee and will sepnd more for traning and medical benifiets for the new employees. On the other hands, companies neeed to buy more computers and offer more space for add more offices. these addditions will cost the companies alot besides the companies will cut their profit.
Second the reading mentions that decrease the working hours to 4 days per week will creates more job offers to other employees to cover the rest of the work. Nevertheless, the professor questions this idea by saying that the companies can avoid the additional cost to hire new employees and, offer the employees who working 4 days per week to choose to work extra time so thses employees can do the same work of 5 days employees without hiring new employees.
Third the reading explains that the 4 days employees can save time for their family and social life. On the other, hand the professor disagrees with is idea by saying employees who work just 4 days they will decrease their quality of life. they may be lose their work. the maybe decrease their job stability. companies prefer to choose employees who work 5 days to continue supervision for entire week work.
Therefore, the professor questions all ideas mentioned in reading.
