The bar chart below shows the top ten countries for the production and consumption of electricity in 2014.

The given bar chart compares the amount of electricity produced and consumed in top ten nations in 2014.Unit are measured in billion kWh.

Overall, China dominated the amount of electricity in terms of production and consumption, while the lowest position in the top was Korea. In addition, most countries made more electricity than using it, except for Germany.

As can be inferred from the data, the discrepancy between the production and the consumption was not huge in China, Russia, Germany and Korea at around less than 100 billion kWh. Specifically, in 2014, Chinese produced 5398 billion kWh and consumed 5322 billion kWh. In Russia, the two numbers were relatively equal and stood at around 1000 billion kWh. Similarity, the amount of electricity made and used in Germany and Korea were about more than 500 billion kWh and roughly 400 billion kWh respectively.

A large electric disparity can be seen in the remain nations. As the second rank, American produced 4099 billion kWh and used 3866 billion kWh. The amount of electricity made in Japan, India, Canada and Brazil was more than 100 billion kWh compared to that of consumption.
