The chart illustrates the proportion of males and females in Australia obtained in 5 different post-school qualifications in 1999.
Overall, while the proportions of males' certificates were massively high in skilled vocational diploma, postgraduate diploma and master's degree, females only majored in getting undergraduate diploma and bachelor's degree.
In the chart, the percentage of males achieved skilled vocational diploma was 10 times bigger than those of females. Similarly, in both postgraduate diploma and master's degree, men's certificates tended to outweigh women's ones. About 70% of males postgraduate diploma was gained in 1999 while only 30% was made in females. In master's degree, the difference between two figures was 20%. It is noticeable that men had paid more attention in studying for master's degree than women. However, females mainly focused on getting undergraduate diplomas and bachelor's degree. About 72% of Australia women obtained undergraduate diplomas while only 38% from those of men. In bachelor's degree, a small gap of approximately 5% was made between two genders.
