The given bar graph represents the number of females per 100 males in both developed and developing countries who registered in primary, secondary and tertiary levels of education.
It is noticeable that irrespective of year and level of education, females in developed countries who had registered were almost the same and in some cases even more than the males.
In 1998, the number of girls who were enrolled in different levels of school education was slightly high than the number of girls enrolled in 1990. In primary education, there were 83 females per 100 males in developing countries but later in 1998 it went up and recorded 87 females per 100 males. In contrast to developing countries, the number of girls who were enrolled remained almost the same in both 1990 and 1998.
But in terms of secondary education, there was a considerable difference in the number of girls who were joined at this level. In 1990, the number of females was far less than the target with approximately a third lesser. However, in 1998, it managed to reach near to the target.
