The bar chart compares the minutes of phone call in three different services in the United Kingdom over a 7-year period
Overall, Britishers spent more time on calling by phones throughout the period. While local-fixed line was called by for the longest time in all examined years, mobiles were seen with the shortest number of minutes calling
In 1995, people preferred to make phone calls through local-fixed line the most with around 70 billion minutes, this number rose steadily to reach its peak at 90 in 1998. However, during the following 3 years, this figure dropped down to the same it had in the beginning. In contrast, the time called through National and international-fixed line was reported with steady and constant growths throughout the period
Although in 1995 the gap between the minutes counted in the telephone calls with national and international-fixed line and mobiles was significant with almost 35%. In 1995, the usage of mobiles was uncommon when it was seen with no more than 5 billion minutes. However, this figure increased marginally to almost 45 billion in the final year, which was only 15 billion lower than that of national and international-fixed line
