The charts give information about two genres of TV programmes watched by men and women and four different age groups in Australia.
The bar graphs compare the figures for Australians of two genders and four different age groups watching two genres of TV shows.
In general, it is apparent that the older generation has a tendency to enjoy both reality shows and game shows, while the younger generation prefers watching the former program. It is also notable that Australian women watch reality shows much higher than men, while games shows are flavored almost equally by both genders.
Looking at the figures by gender, the percentage of females watching reality shows accounted for 70 percent, which almost doubled the proportion of males. In addition, the proportions of games shows watched by both genders were nearly the same, at approximately 60%.
Turning to the age groups, the percentages of both TV shows watched by the youngest groups were the same, at 50%. The age groups 25 to 34 as well as 35 to 44 watching reality shows made up 60% and 65%, respectively, while the figures for game shows were lower, accounting for nearly 40% of people aged 25 to 34. Meanwhile, the oldest groups watching each type of TV shows were fairly similar, standing at 70%.
