The charts show average levels of participation in education and the highest education level of adults from 2000 to 2010 in Singapore.
The bar chart illustrates the average size in class between primary schools and lower secondary schools in six different countries, compared to the world in 2006.
Overall, it can be seen that the proportion of the world in secondary school was higher than primary school. Additionally, Asian countries such as South Korea and Japan had more students than other countries.
In 2006, the proportion of pupils in primary school led the way with under 35%, which was followed by that of Japan, around 30%. Beside that, the UK accounted for 27%. On the contrary, Mexico, Denmark and Iceland were one of the lowest ranked countries, about 20%, 23% and 21%, respectively.
With the learner in secondary school, at the bottom position still Denmark and Iceland, the figure equivalent to primary schools. Along with the participation of the UK, which accounted for 18%. Japan and South Korea were still one of the top proportions. Mexico witnessed a rise and reached the point of 30%.
