The diagram below shows how solar panels can be used to provide electricity for domestic use.
The diagram illustrates information about the stages of how electricity supplied to domestic area from solar panels.
It can clearly be seen that there are five distinct steps for electricity manufacturing. At the first step, energy from sunlight is collected by solar panels and at the last stage, if solar panels do not contribute enough electricity for your house, power from utility grid will flow into the house.
At the beginning of the process, solar panels on the rooftop of the houses take energy from sunlight and convert power into DC current. Secondly, an inverter will take the responsibility to turn DC current into AC current which allows controlling electricity provider. At the following step, electricity is distributed to houses through an electrical panel.
At the fourth step shown in the picture, a utility meter has been installed for the purpose of sending any extra electrical power to the grid. At the final stage, when power from solar panels is not enough to contribute to the house, electrical power from grid will be used.
