The diagrams illustrate the changes that West Park Secondary school has undergone since its establishment in 1950
It is clear that the school area was expanded, while the playground was contracted. Additionally, houses and farmland had completely disappeared by 2010.
In 1950, the school was quite small and was located to the north of the main road. There were residential houses in the northwest corner. However, in 1980, these houses were destroyed completely and replaced with a car park and a Science block. At the same time, the sports field replaced the farmland in the southwest area, while the playground located in the southeast corner still existed.
In 2010, the sports field and the playground was narrowed to make way for the expansion of the car park. Meanwhile, the school and the science block remained the same.
