Following this, the figure increased to more than 700.000 in June, reaching a peak at approximately 800.000 in December. The Britain’s tourist number from January to March 2005 saw a slight difference. The former accounted for about 600.000, while the latter was lower by 50.000 that of January. In june, the figure increased moderately, levelled off in September, before it jumped to about 800.000 in December.
Most tourists travelling to the UK in 2004 held the Japan, Australia and America citizenship. The list changed in 2005 by Japan dropping to second-place with the change number -3%, while both Australia and America ware +2% each. In 2005, the new country entering the top five list was India with an extra number of visitor 17%.
