Given is a curve graph,which illustrates the change of CO2 emissions of each people over the duration of forty years since 1967 in Britain, Sweden, Italy, and Portugal.
In 1967, British people had the largest co2 emissions in metric tonnes at 11 approximately and steadily decreased to about 9 in 2007, but still had the largest of emissions in these four countries.
Sweden has about 9 co2 emissions in 1967, despite initial growth to about 10 in the first decade, then the average emissions of each people showed a rapidly decreasing trend from 1977 to 1987.
Portugal had the least emissions in 1967 for only about 1 which was one-tenth of the UK at that time. Portugal and Italy showed an increasing trend during these four decades. Sweden had been overtaken by Italy after 1987, then equal to Portugal in 2007.
To sum up, as is demonstrated in the diagram, we can apparently see that the emissions in both the UK and Sweden showed a decreasing trend. On the other hand, Italy and Portugal showed an increasing trend for 4 decades.
