The bar chart compares the percentage of female unemployment in four areas of the United Kingdom from 2013 to 2014. From the general perspective, the clear data could be observed, including a small decline in England, Wales as well as Northern Ireland, a slight growth in Scotland over the period.
In 2013, England was the highest proportion of women unemployment at 6.8%, followed by Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. On the other hand, Wales was the only region that had the lowest female unemployment rate at 5.4%. After one year, there was a change of ranking among regions, Scotland was at the top of female unemployment rate at 6.7%, while Northern Ireland was at the bottom at 4.6% in 2014.
From 2013 to 2014, all countries witnessed a decrease in the percentage of female unemployment excepted in Scotland where experienced a steady rise of 0.6%. Especially in Northern Ireland, this figure significantly diminished by 1% and the average of the proportion of the other areas was roundly 0.4%.
