The given line graph illustrates the proportion of the labor force in the country of Australia across the five sectors from 1962 to 2012.
Overall, the services increased, manufacturing and agriculture decreased in percentage terms, and construction as well as mining remained almost the same. It is also noticeable that the services were the sector with the largest proportion among the five.
Regarding the period from 1962 to 1992, the services started with the highest figure, over 50%. Then this sector rose steadily over years, reaching more than 70% in 1992. The manufacturing and agriculture began with around 25% and 10% respectively and then dropped by 10% and 3% respectively in the final year. The fields of construction and mining did not change much, at around 10% and 0% respectively during the provided period.
Concerning the rest of the given time, the services still experienced an upward trend to nearly 80% in 2012, maintaining the top position. In contrast, the manufacturing and agriculture still saw a downward tendency, to precisely 10% and approximately 4%. The other two sectors did not fluctuate much, at finally nearly returned to the starting points.
