Graph chart computers

Essay topics:

Graph chart, computers

The bar charts illustrate the proportion of the population (in percent) owning a computer and computer ownership by education level in the years 2002-2010.

Overall, there had been a steady growth in the percentage of people owning a computer. The same trend can be observed across all levels of education. Through all of the period presented, the lowest percentage of computers was owned by people with no high school diploma, whereas the highest by holders of postgraduate qualifications.

In the year 2002, just over a half of the population had a computer. This number had been rising gradually and reached around 70% in 2010.

Across all of the educational levels computers ownership had been climbing steadily, with the lowest percentage consistently observed amongst those with no high school education (15% and just over 40% in 2002 and 2010 respectively). Numbers rose accordingly to the degree of education: high school graduate, college (incomplete), bachelor's degree, and postgraduate qualification, with the highest ownership of computers, which grew from almost 3/4 to 90% between years 2002 and 2010.
